Privacy Policy

Poshara ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps Poshmark sellers share closet listings (and, in Poshara Pro, perform additional optional actions). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information Poshara accesses, how it is used, and what we do not do with it.

User Control

Poshara only performs actions after you explicitly start them in the extension popup. Before each run you must check a consent box confirming you understand what Poshara will do. You can stop any running task at any time using the Stop button. Optional scheduled closet sharing (Pro only) runs only if you turn it on yourself.

What Poshara Accesses

Poshara operates entirely within your browser. It accesses the Poshmark pages you are viewing in order to share listings from your closet (and, in Pro, to perform the optional follow and page-sharing actions you start). It does not read your private messages, payment information, or account credentials.

What We Store

Poshara uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save preferences on your device, for example your chosen domain (.ca or .com), consent setting, speed settings, optional schedule settings, the email address you enter at signup (and whether you opted into marketing tips), an optional Pro licence key you paste in, and an optional on-device activity log of share attempts. Settings, consent, and the activity log stay on your computer. Your signup email is also sent to poshara.tech as described below.

What We Do Not Collect

Poshara does not sell personal data. We do not have access to your Poshmark password, card number, order history, or messages. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs.

Network Requests

The Chrome extension does not call Poshara servers to share or follow. Those actions run in your browser on Poshmark (poshmark.ca / poshmark.com).

When you complete the signup screen, the extension sends your email address, optional marketing consent (yes or no), the consent wording you saw, a timestamp, the extension version, and your chosen Poshmark site (.ca or .com) to poshara.tech via Netlify Forms. If that request fails, Poshara keeps your email on your device and retries later so a site outage never locks you out.

If you use Poshara Pro, the extension sends your licence key to poshara.tech so we can check Stripe whether that subscription is still active (trialing, paid, or past due). Pro turns off when the subscription is no longer active. The key includes the email Stripe collected at checkout. We do not receive your Poshmark password or card number.

After you pay, the welcome page asks our site to confirm that checkout and issue a licence key. If Poshara is already installed, that page can send the key into the extension.

Permissions

The Chrome Web Store package requests these permissions (used only for features you start):

activeTab and tabs: to work with the Poshmark tab you have open and, when you start a job that needs it, open or focus the right Poshmark page. For Crosslist to eBay, to open the eBay listing page in a new tab.

storage: to save settings, consent, optional licence key, and optional activity log locally on your device.

alarms: for optional scheduled closet sharing that you enable yourself (Pro), and to periodically confirm the Pro subscription is still active.

Host access is limited to poshmark.com, poshmark.ca, poshara.tech (to confirm Pro subscription status with Stripe), ebay.ca and ebay.com (to fill in the eBay listing form when you use Crosslist to eBay), and di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net (Poshmark's photo server, to copy your listing photos). Share and follow actions stay on Poshmark. The licence key is sent only to poshara.tech as described above.

Crosslist to eBay (Pro)

When you click Crosslist to eBay on one of your Poshmark listings, Poshara reads that listing's details (title, description, price, size, brand, colour, condition, category and photo links) from the page. It saves them in Chrome's local storage on your computer, opens eBay's listing page in your browser, and fills in eBay's form. Your photos are downloaded from Poshmark's photo server and added to eBay's photo uploader in your browser. Poshara may send your listing title to eBay's own category suggester so eBay can suggest a category. None of this goes to Poshara's servers. Poshara uses your existing eBay sign-in in your browser and never sees your eBay password. It never presses List it for you: you check the listing and publish it yourself. The saved details stay on your computer until you crosslist another listing or press Clear in the Poshara panel on eBay.

Third-Party Services

Poshmark (poshmark.ca and poshmark.com) is where sharing and following run, as directed by you. Poshara is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Poshmark.

eBay (ebay.ca and ebay.com) is where Crosslist to eBay fills in a listing form for you to check and publish yourself. Poshara is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay.

Payments and subscription status are handled by Stripe. poshara.tech talks to Stripe to confirm checkout and whether a Pro subscription is still active.

Email Signup (Required in the Extension)

When you first open the Chrome extension (or after updating to a version that adds this step), Poshara asks for your email address before you can use its features. We collect that email so we can send you help if something breaks and important updates about Poshara. Submissions go to Netlify Forms on poshara.tech. The email is also saved in Chrome's local storage on your device.

On the same screen you may optionally tick a separate checkbox to receive Poshara tips, new features and the occasional request for a review. That marketing consent is optional and never required to use Poshara. If you tick it, we store the exact consent wording you saw, along with the time, and treat it as express consent under CASL. You can unsubscribe anytime by emailing hello@poshara.tech.

To delete your email or withdraw marketing consent, email hello@poshara.tech. This signup email is separate from any email Stripe collected for Poshara Pro billing.

Older Free Tips Email (Optional)

Earlier versions of the extension offered an optional tips email after a Free share run. Those submissions also used Netlify Forms. The required signup above replaces that optional card so we do not ask for your email twice. You can still ask us to delete an older tips entry at hello@poshara.tech.

Website Waitlist

If you join the optional waitlist on poshara.tech, we collect the email address you submit, the type of phone you use (iPhone or Android), and, if you choose one, an optional preference for another marketplace you would like after eBay. We collect this via Netlify Forms. The waitlist is for interest in Poshara on mobile: we use your phone type to know what to build and to email you when mobile is ready, and we use any marketplace preference to understand demand. We do not promise a date. This is separate from the Chrome extension. You can unsubscribe anytime, or ask us to delete your waitlist entry, by emailing hello@poshara.tech.

Children's Privacy

Poshara is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
